FAQ

1

What skill level does my child need to be at?

Absolutely any level. If you have plans on your child becoming a professional golfer however, we'd be recommending investing in professional lessons from PGA certified golfers :)

2

What refreshments are available to kids during this time?

xGolf have plenty of drinks and food such as hot chips, pizza, chicken wings, nachos etc that they can purchase directly.

3

What ages do you cater for?

We are targeting kids between 10-16 because in our experience these are the ages where skills and interest grow best together. That being said, we are happy to consider any interested kids under the age of 18.

4

What do you cover in every 2 hour session?

We will be refining the activities week to week to keep interesting for everyone, and to ensure we cover all key areas of golf. But at an absolute minimum each kid will be doing a lot of driving with woods, a lot of wedge play to cover the shorter game, and some putting. We will also be spending dedicated time with each participant on the driving range to help continually crafting their swing, their tempo, and accuracy. And we will record this data week by week so we can demonstrate progress throughout the season, a great way for kids and parents to recognise their improvement.

5

What does my child need to bring with them to participate?

Ideally their own set of clubs, that’s it. However, there are plenty of clubs that xGolf can provide for those who don’t have their own clubs yet, but they may not be ideally fitted for your childs size.

6

Can parents hang around while kids are playing?

Absolutely. Parents are more than welcome to hang around, watch the kids do their thing, or have a drink and a bite to eat at the bar area.

7

Do we need to commit to the entire 20 week program?

No we won't be imposing any such rules on families, we have confidence that the kids will love the program and want to come back weekly, but understand in real life things change and priorities may need to be set from time to time. We would ideally like families committing to the 20 weeks because it will guarantee significant improvement and interest in the game for your child, and it will put them in the running for fun prizes and award throughout and at the end of the season. We will also offer a great discount after week 3 of each term to pay for the remainder of the term in advance.

8

What fun activities will the kids be doing?

Each week we will be tracking driving distance, driving accuracy, closest to the pin activities and putting challenges at the very least. We will finish each session with all the kids together where we hand out prizes for the week based on a model designed to ensure everyone gets recognised over time.
